Place a stock order for a seller

Last updated October 23, 2026

Stock type: Seller pre printed. You print it from your blanks. The finished units belong to the seller. Ownership changes hands on this path and only this path.

The seller must be approved to store inventory with you, and the product must be one of theirs. It does not have to be stored yet: placing the order stores it for them, as long as it fits what your warehouse accepts. See Approve a seller to store inventory.

Where

The manual order page → Stock order. The owner must be the seller.

Stock order for a seller

Place it

  1. Open a new manual order and click Stock order.
  2. Click Browse catalog and add the seller's products, with quantities.
  3. Under Owner, click Seller, then pick the seller under Seller. The note on the page reads The seller must be approved to store inventory.
  4. Check Seller cap after this in the cost panel. It counts against the space you gave the seller. If it says Over your bin limit, lower the quantity or raise their space with Change space on 3PL → Sellers.
  5. Click Place stock order.

A stock order goes to the shelf, so there is no store to pick.

What moves

Production uses your blanks. They are held when you place the order and come off the shelf when the batch is created.

After QC, Place in warehouse opens a dialog: pick the Warehouse and enter how many were Made, then click Put away. The putaway goes to that seller's bin, and Riverr confirms Putaway opened for the seller's name. Their stock goes up. Yours does not. Floor walk: Produce a stock order.

From then on it is seller stock like anything they shipped in. It leaves when one of their customer orders is batched, and it is never used as a blank again.

Who places it

You place this order on the seller's account. Sellers do not place stock orders themselves. The seller sees the units on My stock, and the products you print for them under the link to products you print and keep for them.
