Switch to your own Stripe account

Last updated October 21, 2026

If your Stripe card under Settings → Integrations reads Connected · Riverr created account, your shop is on a payout account Riverr set up for you. It still works. Switching puts store sales next to the rest of your Stripe activity and gives you the full Stripe dashboard. Three clicks, no downtime.

Switch in three steps

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations and click Connect on the Stripe card.
  2. Click Switch to my own Stripe at the bottom of the panel.
  3. Sign in at Stripe and authorize, same as a first connection. Stripe sends you straight back to Riverr. The card now reads Connected · Your own Stripe account with your email under it.

New to connecting? The full walkthrough is in Connect Stripe to Riverr.

What happens to money in flight

  • From the next order on, sales charge on your own account.
  • Orders already paid stay on the Riverr created account and pay out from there on its normal schedule. Nothing is lost or moved.
  • Refunds on those earlier orders still come out of the Riverr created account. Refunds on new orders come out of yours.
  • Emailed invoices, quote deposits and the Register move with you: anything sent after the switch uses your account.

Starting over

To disconnect entirely, open the same panel and click Disconnect Stripe. Store checkout stops until you connect again, so do this only when you're ready to reconnect right away.
