task
Warehouse tasks
Last updated August 20, 2026
A task moves or counts stock on the floor. A batch decorates a blank. A shipping bin is a tote for an order, not a shelf.

Types you will see: Putaway, Pick list, Restock, Count list.
Putaway
Created when you confirm a receipt or finish a stock-order run. Scan or pick the slot, then complete. House units go to a house slot. Seller units go to that seller's slot. Mixed owners are refused.
Pick list
Created for a stocked / house-retail / seller line that ships as-is. On a mixed customer order, generate it from the batch More menu — Produce an order with print and stocked items. Units are reserved when the task is created. If a line is short, fail that line, not the whole task. The units go to a shipping bin — often the same bin as a print job on the same order.
Restock
Move units from a bulk / overflow slot onto a pick face. The screen says Restock, not replen.
Count list
Cycle count. Your confirmed count becomes truth for that slot.
Short a line
Do not quietly invent quantity. Adjust the slot or open a count. For a seller inbound mismatch, that is already a variance.
