How a print order moves through Manufacturing

A customer print order leaves Orders when you start the floor. You batch it, pick it, print it, QC it, put it in a tote, then ship or hand it off.
All of that lives under Manufacturing.

Printers are under Settings → Integrations, not Manufacturing.
The walk
- Manufacturing → Items: select lines, then Create Batch
- Manufacturing → Batches: open the job
- Barcodes if you need labels
- Start Picking: the line moves from Queued to Picked
- Print: the line shows Printed
- Open the item, then QC passed: it goes in a bin and shows QC Passed
- SHIP NOW or COMPLETE PICKUP
On the batch, those names are the pipeline: Queued, Picked, Printed, QC Passed, Shipped. If you buy blanks for the job you also see Ordered, Enroute, Blanks arrived.
What a batch does to your blank stock
The blanks for an order were already reserved when the order came in. Create Batch is when they leave the shelf:
- Enough on hand for the whole line: the batch takes the full quantity. On hand drops.
- Not enough: the batch takes what is on hand. A line for 50 with 30 on hand takes 30. The other 20 are still needed: buy them with Import from Batches on a new purchase order, and when they arrive the receive page sends them straight to print.
Open the item to see a short line: Batch item details shows, for example, 30 from stock, 20 printing from new stock.
Either way the line is no longer counted as Reserved. Unbatching a line puts back what the batch took and reserves it again. A unit sent back after a failed QC is counted as used: the blank does not come back.
Blanks tracked by bin follow the same rule. The batch takes what the bins hold, up to the line.
Stocked lines on the same order (house finished goods or seller stock) come off stock at the same moment and are picked, not printed.

- Print for the shelf, no customer: Produce a stock order. It ends in Place in warehouse, not SHIP NOW
