Setting Up Stripe Connect for Payouts

Stripe Connect is what moves money from processed orders into your bank account. Setting it up is one of the most important onboarding steps — until it's complete, you can't receive payouts.

You'll need your bank account details on hand before you start.

Estimated time: 10 minutes

Step 1 — Open the Payouts tab

1. From your dashboard, click the Payouts tab.
2. You'll see your payouts overview, including payouts to your bank.

If you've started setup before but didn't finish, the button will read Resume Setup instead of starting fresh. Either way, click it to continue.

Step 2 — Confirm your country

Select the country where your business banks — for most users this is the United States, which is already selected by default.

Then continue to the next screen.

Step 3 — Complete Stripe's onboarding

You'll be handed off to Stripe to finish the process.

1. Enter your email address to begin.
2. Follow Stripe's prompts through each step.
3. Connect your bank account when prompted.

Stripe collects the business and banking information it needs to verify your account and deposit funds.

Step 4 — Confirm setup is complete

When you finish Stripe's flow, you'll be returned automatically to your account. The Payouts tab will now show your Stripe Connect status as Complete.

Once connected, payouts from processed orders deposit directly into your linked bank account.

Troubleshooting

Problem	What to do
Button says "Resume Setup"	You started earlier and stopped partway — click it to pick up where you left off
Status still isn't Complete	Stripe may need additional verification info; return to the Payouts tab and resume
Wrong country selected	Contact support before continuing, as country affects payout setup
